Book: Human Factors for Industrial Designers, expected 2027

Human Factors for Industrial Designers is my third book, under contract with Routledge and expected to be released in 2027. The book is meant to serve as both a trusted reference for practicing designers and a core textbook for students. It builds on the legacy of the Henry Dreyfuss Associates classics, keeping their strong visual clarity while updating the field with more complexity, inclusivity, and reliable, up-to-date data.

The book features original illustrations by Verena Paepcke-Hjeltness, alongside custom figures, tables, and case studies. It also includes interviews with leading industrial designers from around the world, highlighting how human factors connects to contemporary design projects and practices. My goal is to make physical and cognitive human factors accessible and usable, while reflecting the diverse realities and emerging challenges of today’s design practice.
